BoomerPrimeNews Inserts target lucrative Segment of 25-54 Demo.
Los Angeles – September 26, 2011

MMP, Inc., best known for its 50PlusPrime.com website, the Internet community for today’s 78 million men and women "baby boomers," announced it is producing a series of television news inserts, BoomerPrimeNews, specifically targeting those boomers who are now 46 to 54 years old.

"Not only is this demographic the sweet spot that drives news ratings, but it also over-indexes in earning and spending power," said Tony Fama, award winning TV news reporter, host and managing editor of BoomerPrimeNews. "Unfortunately, these viewers are now bundled with a much younger age group and, as a result, are oftentimes underserved, mostly because of budgetary cuts, by local broadcast news departments in delivering topical reporting that’s relevant to their quality of life."

"The news inserts will focus primarily on finance, health, active lifestyles and baby boomers affecting positive change. We are committed to giving the series a unique identity previously not offered to this audience. These men and women are in the prime of their lives. They are active, robust and wise. The most affluent and influential television viewers are in this demographic group," said Fama.

"I come from broadcast television news. There’s a real need for more of this reporting because it will help win back those viewers and the local ad dollars that have migrated to the cable news networks because, right now, they’re doing a better job than we are."
